I loved working with both Nicole and her mother Janet to create a magical garden themed wedding at Canoe Place Inn & Cottages in Hampton Bay, NY. Her vision of simple elegance with pops of color was nothing short of breathtaking. Their eye for design and attention to detail was unmatched. It was truly a pleasure to be part of an incredible wedding.
Nicole’s parents house was right down the road making it a perfect location for getting ready and the first look. There is nothing sweeter than being able to be in your own home surrounded by your group to take in all the moments.
Here comes the bride
The couple chose to have their ceremony at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Basilica, Southampton. The bride and her father arrived in a white vintage car. Gorgeous stained glass windows, a magnificent backdrop of white stone and murals, and simple florals draping from the pews created an elegant setting for Nicole and Doug to say, “I do.” Their exit was filled with cheers, laugher, and love!
A love for classics
It was a beautiful June day perfect for a drive. Nicole loves a vintage car. After tying the knot, Nicole and Doug took a cruise between the church and reception to enjoy the ride and scenery - and of course take photos along the way! The Hamptons is truly breathtaking. As they arrived back Nicole had one more surprise up her sleeve - a vintage convertible photo op!
Give me all the color!
Did I mention Nicole LOVES color! Joseph of Pedestals Floral Decorators knocked this out of the park as he created not one, but two focal points. First he draped the Albano’s backyard awning with lush pops of garden goodness. Then he constructed a magnificent broken arch, two large pieces, that were used both outside for photos and then later repurposed into the backdrop for the sweetheart table. Seriously a stunner!
Time to celebrate
The reception was of course the highlight! Canoe Place Inn & Cottages reception room was the perfect place for a dance party! Hank Lane’s Ignition brought down the house with their continuous music all night long. Tables were draped in white floral overlays, white and gold glass chargers, and napkin rings that sparkled when the light hit it just right. The tables were completed with tall vases filled with pops of color and elegant candlelight. And who can forget about those diamond back chairs and the lighting! Janet and Nicole were so into the details - it was truly a wedding designers dream!
