Amanda and Ethan’s May 2nd Quaker Ridge Golf Club wedding in Scarsdale, New York had exactly that feeling. It was colorful and romantic, but also warm, personal, and incredibly fun. There were emotional moments, meaningful traditions, gorgeous garden inspired florals, and a dance floor that stayed very busy.

A Sweet Start to Their Quaker Ridge Golf Club Wedding
Amanda and Ethan spent the beginning of their wedding day getting ready separately before seeing each other for the first time.
Amanda wore a romantic strapless gown covered in dimensional floral appliqué with a dramatic train and long veil.
Ethan kept things classic in a black tuxedo and bow tie, but tucked in one very personal detail: their wedding date embroidered onto his shirt cuff.
I love little details like this. They aren’t necessarily the things every guest will notice, but they make a wedding feel personal to the two people at the center of it.
An Emotional First Look in Scarsdale
Before the ceremony, Amanda and Ethan shared their first look outside on the grounds of Quaker Ridge Golf Club.
There’s something really special about that little pocket of time before everything begins. The anticipation has been building all morning, everyone is getting ready, and suddenly the couple finally gets a moment together.
Those quiet moments can end up being some of the most meaningful parts of a wedding day.
Classic Black Tie with Colorful Spring Details
Amanda and Ethan chose classic black tie attire and softened it with a beautiful spring color palette.
The bridesmaids wore floor length dusty blue gowns in different silhouettes, while the groomsmen wore traditional black tuxedos and bow ties.
Then there were the flowers.
Bouquets filled with pink, peach, yellow, lavender, blue, ivory, and greenery brought so much life and personality to the overall look.

Before the ceremony, Amanda and Ethan signed their Ketubah honoring their Jewish traditions before gathering beneath a traditional chuppah and completing meaningful customs, including the breaking of the glass.
Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows in a setting that felt beautiful, intimate, and deeply personal. The cheers that followed the breaking of the glass made the moment especially joyful, marking the beginning of their marriage with so much warmth and excitement.
Their ceremony was a beautiful reminder that meaningful traditions can make a wedding feel even more personal.
A Cocktail Hour That Felt Like Them
After the ceremony, the mood shifted into celebration mode.
Guests gathered for cocktails, conversation, and a chance to settle into the evening. One of the sweetest details was Amanda and Ethan’s signature cocktail sign featuring illustrations of their pets.
“Hers” was a Flower Drop, while “His” was a Mint Julep.
It was a small detail, but those are often the ones that make a wedding memorable. They give guests another little glimpse into who you are as a couple.
A Garden Inspired Quaker Ridge Golf Club Wedding Reception
The reception carried the same joyful color palette into a warmer, candlelit setting.
Long tables were filled with lush, low floral arrangements, while round tables featured taller arrangements on gold stands. Pink, peach, yellow, lavender, and blue flowers were paired with textured glassware, candlelight, and warm wood chairs.
Everything flowed naturally from the ceremony into the reception, but the room had its own personality. It felt inviting, celebratory, and ready for a really good party.
A Reception That Quickly Became a Party
Once the bridal party made their entrance, Amanda and Ethan shared a dance before everyone settled in for dinner and heartfelt speeches. Then the party really started. Amanda changed into her sparkling white fringe mini dress, Ethan swapped his black tuxedo jacket for a white dinner jacket, and the dance floor quickly filled up.
And then everyone danced.
The hora brought that wonderful kind of happy chaos that makes a wedding feel alive, and the dance floor stayed packed as the night continued.
There was so much joy in the room. It wasn’t a reception where everyone politely watched from the sidelines. People were genuinely celebrating with Amanda and Ethan, which gave the entire evening such a warm, energetic feeling.
Late Night Hot Dogs and One Perfect Ending
Just when everyone needed a little post dance floor fuel, Walter’s Hot Dogs arrived.
Serving hot dogs late at night was playful, unexpected, and very New York. It was the perfect ending because it didn’t feel overly planned or formal. It simply felt fun.
And really, that sums up their entire wedding.
